Chris Tallman
Chris is a home brewer from Roanoke
who approached Warbird in the summer
of 2007 looking for an "apprentice"
position in brewing. Little
did he know he would soon become the
Assistant Brewer at Warbird and
begin his path toward a professional
brewing career.
In medical school, you learn by the
"see one, do one, teach one" method.
Works for beer, too. Chris has
been working nights and weekends
learning how to apply his knowledge
of home brewing to the world of 'big
beer." Chris has aggressively
attacked the "triathalon" of brewing
(brewing, filtering, and packaging)
and is well on his way to becoming a
professional brewer. He knows
a lot about beer and it shows.
He has already taken several steps
to help improve our process.
He is a pleasure to work with and I
am really proud of him and his
progress.
He also has time to get to an
occasional social outing, as you can
see here..
