I didn't intend to start an entirely new branch of the military.  It just sort of happened.  As a military Veteran, I new that structure and organization was a good thing, and I thought starting a "Brew Force" was the way to do it.  Since we were the first, I decided we should be the "1st Brew Force."  The Air Force is set up in a structure with Wings and Squadrons operating under the the parent organization.  I picked the 194th Brewing Wing because there are currently 193 numbered Wings in the Air Force.  I picked the 142nd Brewing Squadron because of the number on our airplane.  I figured that this would be okay.  There is a great history of a 142nd Squadron in the Royal Air Force.  I hope none of my Brit comrades take offense.  If they do, I hope they accept my apology and accept my offer of a Warbird in return.

There is no conflict with any United States "heraldry" (the history behind the numbers) that I am aware of.  The titles and roles in our organization have meaning to us.  They are intended to be respectful and remindful of the importance that our military has in our history.  In case you missed our official 1st Brew Force titles, you can go to our PERSONNEL page.
